TRINITY CATHEDRAL BOY CHOIR AUDITIONS

Know a boy who loves to sing? The Trinity Cathedral Boy Choir of Pittsburgh is looking for young singers! Boys in Grades 2 through 8 are eligible to participate, starting in the Fall semester 2015. Auditions for the Trinity Cathedral Boy Choir will be held at Trinity Cathedral on Saturday, May 30th 10:00am til 2:00pm.

The Trinity Cathedral Boy Choir of Pittsburgh is dedicated to providing singers with high quality vocal instruction in the beautiful tradition of the English boy choir schools. TEAM TRINITY RAISES OVER $900 FOR OUTREACH MINISTRY

photo 2(1)                                                                                 KUDOS to Josie White, Priscilla Castner, and Claudia Caruso (aka Team Trinity) for their participation in and fundraising efforts for the Walk For A Healthy Community event on Saturday, May 16th

Team Trinity raised more than $900 for the Trinity Cathedral Food Pantry account with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. These funds help the Outreach Ministry with their continuing efforts to assist the homeless, families, and seniors in our service community. The Walk For A Healthy Community is just one of the ways the Outreach Ministry secures funding, materials, and foodstuffs for their ministry.

Be sure to pass on your thank yous the next time you see Josie, Priscilla, and Claudia.

WALK FOR A HEALTHY COMMUNITY

There is still time to sponsor TEAM TRINITY FOR THE Walk For A Healthy Community event this Saturday, May 16. Trinity Cathedral Outreach volunteers will begin walking from Stage AE on the North Shore at 9:00 am to help raise awareness of and funds for the Trinity Cathedral Food Bank account  with the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank. Any funds raised go towards the purchase of foods and hygiene products for the pantry shelves; these foodstuffs are distributed to individuals, families, and seniors served by Trinity Cathedral within within the 15222 zip code service area.

BISHOP MC CONNELL AT TRINITY CATHEDRAL DURING HOLY WEEK

The Right Reverend Dorsey McConnell, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh, will be joining with us in worship at Trinity Cathedral for several Holy Week Services. Bishop McConnell shall be the the Celebrant for Good Friday Service of Prayer and Reflection, 12:00 pm-3:00 pm. Bishop McConnell will also be with us to celebrate on Easter Sunday at 10:30 a.m.for the Holy Eucharist and Baptism service

SUNDAY FELLOWSHIP SPONSORS

Would you enjoy sharing your good tastes with the congregation? Do you enjoy baking or preparing favorite recipes to share during Fellowship Hour? The Trinity Cathedral Hospitality Ministry has initiated a Sunday Fellowship Sponsor program to spice up our refreshment offerings for fellowship times. You can sign up to supply pre-made goodies or freshly prepared foodstuffs for parishioners and visitors to enjoy after Sunday services. You can choose items that are simple to serve and that are simply heavenly. If you prefer, you may make a monetary donation on your designated Sunday for the Hospitality Ministry to provide refreshments.

You can select the Sunday you wish to sponsor on the sign-up sheets posted on the Parish Bulletin Board or by calling the Office .412-232-6404.

WALK-IN MINISTRY WEEK

Trinity Cathedral is pleased to serve as the Walk-In Ministry Church for the Week of  April 20-24, 2015.

The Walk-In Ministry is part of the ecumenical partnership between five churches located in Downtown Pittsburgh. Trinity Cathedral will operate its special Outreach services from 10:00am to 12:00pm and from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on the days listed. The Walk-In Ministry is a front-line service to any and all who have need of it, offering 2-3 days worth of food, toiletries, and various articles of clothing we have in stock. Outreach volunteers can also offer referrals to other city and county agencies. A client list is maintained and all users of the system are asked to produce some form of photo ID.

Please keep our volunteers and clients in your prayers during this busy and fulfilling week!

PANCAKE BREAKFAST

Join us for fellowship and pancakes Sunday, February 15th in the Parish Hall. The pre-Lenten tradition of the Shrove Pancake Breakfast, prepared and served by the men of Trinity Cathedral parish, will be held after the 10:30am service.
