The Right Reverend Dorsey McConnell, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh, will be joining with us in worship at Trinity Cathedral for several Holy Week Services. Bishop McConnell shall be the the Celebrant for Good Friday Service of Prayer and Reflection, 12:00 pm-3:00 pm. Bishop McConnell will also be with us to celebrate services on Easter Sunday at 8:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Chapel and at 10:30 a.m. Holy Eucharist and Baptism.
Would you enjoy sharing your good tastes with the congregation? Do you enjoy baking or preparing favorite recipes to share during Fellowship Hour? The Trinity Cathedral Hospitality Ministry has initiated a Sunday Fellowship Sponsor program to spice up our refreshment offerings for fellowship times. You can sign up to supply pre-made goodies or freshly prepared foodstuffs for parishioners and visitors to enjoy after Sunday services. You can choose items that are simple to serve and that are simply heavenly. If you prefer, you may make a monetary donation on your designated Sunday for the Hospitality Ministry to provide refreshments.

Trinity Cathedral is pleased to serve as the Walk-In Ministry Church for the Week of March 16-20, 2015.
The Walk-In Ministry is part of the ecumenical partnership between five churches located in Downtown Pittsburgh. Trinity Cathedral will operate its special Outreach services from 10:00am to 12:00pm and from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on the days listed. The Walk-In Ministry is a front-line service to any and all who have need of it, offering 2-3 days worth of food, toiletries, and various articles of clothing we have in stock. Outreach volunteers can also offer referrals to other city and county agencies. A client list is maintained and all users of the system are asked to produce some form of photo ID.

Join us for fellowship and pancakes Sunday, February 15th in the Parish Hall. The pre-Lenten tradition of the Shrove Pancake Breakfast, prepared and served by the men of Trinity Cathedral parish, will be held after the 10:30am service. The Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh presents : A Closer Look at Race to Reconciliation: Absalom Jones Day Celebration, Saturday, February 7, 2015. Trinity Cathedral is blessed to host the Absalom Jones Day Celebration, with Celebration Day Events scheduled from 10:00am-2:30 pm. The Guest Preacher shall be The Rev. Kim Latice Coleman, Rector at Trinity Episcopal Church in Arlington VA.
Celebration Day Events include:
- Holy Eucharist- Bishop Dorsey McConnell, Celebrant
- Frank E. Bolden Literary Contest Award
- Musical Performance by youth of the Neighborhood Youth Outreach Program
- Luncheon-$8 per person or $15 per family
- Focus Groups, appropriate for all ages, will address current race issues
- Story time and activities for preschoolers and young children available throughout the day

Trinity Cathedral will conduct its Annual Parish Meeting on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at 9:15 a.m. The meeting will be held in the Second Floor Blue Room. Cathedral Dean Very Rev Scott T Quinn and our Vicar Rev. Timothy Hushion will share plans for Trinity Cathedral in 2015. In addition, the parish will be voting on candidates who are standing for election to Cathedral Chapter.

The Rt.Rev. Dorsey McConnell, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh, will be visiting Trinity Cathedral to officiate Sunday Services Sunday, January 4, 2015. It is always a joyful and special time whenever Bishop McConnell visits Trinity Cathedral, so please plan to join with us in worship and fellowship this coming Sunday. The 10:30am service will be even more special as we are blessed by a double Baptism!
“Stories For A New Year”, told by master storyteller Alison Babusci, will be performed at Trinity Cathedral New Year’s Eve 7:00-7:30 p.m. and 8:45-9:15 p.m. These fun folktales, sure to inspire laughter and lessons for 2015, are being presented in conjunction with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and is an official venue for First Night 2015.
